What's Wrong with Your Boiler?

As with any complex system of its size, there is plenty that can go wrong with your boiler. But in order for our expert technicians to diagnose the problem and provide you with a solution, you'll need to recognize the signs that you have a problem in the first place. While some are obvious, others are less so.

  • No heat! - You don't really know the impact that your boiler has on your indoor climate until it stops operating entirely. If your boiler does not respond to the temperature adjustments you make on your thermostat, then it could be an issue with your thermostat or with the controls on your boiler. You could even have a fuel or ignition issue.
  • Turning on and off - If it seems as though your boiler is turning on and off too frequently-a problem known as short-cycling-then don't wait for it to fix itself. It could be evidence of a boiler filled with sediment or some other issue. We can have your system back up and running in no time.
  • High utility bill - We all expect to pay a bit more on those coldest days as our heating system competes with very cold air, but if you notice that your energy bill spikes suddenly and unexpectedly, then give us a call. There could be a problem with debris in the boiler or a possible fuel-related issue.

Is Professional Boiler Repair Necessary?

Absolutely. As with any other type of HVAC equipment, it's important to make certain that your boiler is serviced correctly. Amateur quick fixes cannot compete with the thoroughness and expertise of professional boiler repair. Attempting to take care of such problems by yourself may not only put your system at risk, it may also yield mediocre results.
